Alice Archer specialises in womenswear for special occasions. She makes cocktail dresses, gowns and bridal wear. Since the launch of her eponymous label in 2015, Alice has become known for her romantic, feminine aesthetic and her painterly and innovative approach to embroidery. Often taking her inspiration from the natural world, her designs ‘meld technology and biology to captivating effect’ (Elizabeth Paton, New York Times).
Working in her South East London studio, Alice uses a specialist digital technique where she combines print and embroidery into one-of-a-kind textiles; her exquisite, hand-finished pieces, worked in luxurious silks, evoke the spirit of traditional hand craft. These are timeless pieces to treasure forever and to pass down through generations. Alice’s pieces have been worn by Suzy Menkes, Mrs B, Pippa Middleton, Victoria Miro, Susie Lau, Jasmine Hemsley and Pandora Sykes amongst others and have been featured in publications including New York Times T magazine, The Telegraph, Business of Fashion, the FT’s How to Spend it and WWD.
