Felipe Rojas Llanos is a fashion designer, born in Chile and brought up in Sweden, At the age of sixteen he commenced studying Fine Arts in Sweden, where he developed his signature drawing style.
He eventually moved to London to study fashion and graduated from Central Saint Martins with a 1st
class BA Honours Degree in Fashion Design Menswear in 2008 with his debut collection The Little Prince Goes to the Opera. In October 2008 he was one of three graduates to be selected to show the collection at the V&A – CSM Graduates 2008 Fashion in Motion, a live catwalk installation within the museum space that occurred exclusively throughout a single day. The following year he was invited to participate in a prestigious fashion show hosted by the Belgian magazine La Vif, in March 2009 during the Brussels Fashion Weekend. The show featured ten handpicked new designers from Paris, Antwerp, New York and London. He was then chosen by Not Just A Label as one of their Top Ten Best Menswear Designers in 2009. Felipe received the prestigious Giorgio Armani Bursary to study his Masters Degree at Central Saint Martins, where he graduated with a distinction in 2010. In February 2010 he was selected as one of only four menswear designers to show his Master collection, titled Suspended Animation in the Central St Martins A/W 2010 show at London Fashion Week.  The minimal
collection, described as luxurious yet highly wearable, evokes the idea of a frozen moment in time, with
dramatically voluminous designs, an element of flow and effortless comfort, with couture-like attention
to detail. Following the success of the show, Felipe’s MA collection was picked by the iconic fashion
boutique Browns – which has in the past introduced great talent such as John Galliano and Alexander
McQueen - to be sold exclusively in their menswear department. After the completion of Felipe’s Master
Degree course he started his self-titled brand. Chosen by Fashion East and Topman to show his SS11
collection titled Legion at the prestigious MAN show in London Fashion Week September 2010 at the
Covent Garden Royal Opera House. He was thrilled to have been picked by Fashion East and Topman
once again to showcase his AW11 collection titled In the Hall of the Mountain King at the prestigious
MAN show in February 2011. His next collection titled Butterfield 88 was selected to be showcased as one
of the NEWGEN menswear Installations in SS12.
For his next collection SS13 named Untitled Felipe was invited to present his work during
the London Collections Men Fashion Weekend in June 2012. Always having interest in cinema he was
asked to collaborate with magazine Dazed and Confused to create a short film directed by filmographer
Alexandros Pissourios titled Boy alone with himself, that premiered during London Collections Men
Fashion Weekend June 2013. Outside of fashion collections Felipe’s work has been featured for his
Illustration style in Richard Kilroys menswear Illustration book & in the Fashion Design Designer:
Developing a Design Collection 2nd edition
book by Elinor and Colin Renfrew. Felipe refocused his
design philosophy with the virtually presented 21AW collection titled A Boy Walks Among Us, this
collection is also available as a storytelling photography book. Based on the brands new direction he
launched his first genderless collection titled Bittersweet Neon Dreams during London Fashion Week
2022, the collection introduced and featured actress/model Alejandra Azcárate as the brand ambassador
showing the brands new direction and womenswear inclusion. Based on the global context the designers
next bright, eye-catching genderless collection titled Dream A Little Dream Of Me was deeply inspired
by the blue summer sky in Sweden and a contagious positive feeling. The collection was presented through
LFW 2023 and through a pop-up shop in Sweden. Felipe has currently created his 2024 collection
THE SPHINX based on the titular mythological creature that the designer has long since been fascinated with. The theme of the collection is -if statues would come alive, how would they react becoming a sentient being,
the piece was collaborated, captured and interpreted through a ballet dance created and performed by
ballerina Amelia Ida Bang Coleman. The luxurious fashion show was live streamed and virtually presented through LFW2023 and successfully exhibited in China.
