Anciela is a platform that celebrates South American culture and experimental tailoring. Founded by London-based Colombian-Chilean Fashion Designer Jennifer Droguett in 2019.
ANCIELA is the culmination of the Latin folklore, craft and rich experiences of a childhood combined with an outsider's perspective gained from leaving the homeland and living in London. Designing with sustainability in mind from the very beginning of the process, minimising waste practices in the pursuit of longevity and timeless looks. Taking inspiration from art, literature and historical costumes. We offer re-worked tailoring and eccentric Ready-To-Wear interwoven with a hint of the magical.
Anciela is a platform for inclusivity that combines Latin American and British communities by telling stories that navigate a unique identity in Fashion. We bring new narratives and create awareness of our cultural heritage. As well as supporting causes that go in line with our brand values.
After graduating with a BA in Fashion Design and Technology from AMFI in 2015, Colombian-born designer Jennifer Droguett cut her teeth on big brands like Viktor & Rolf and House of Holland. Now she has founded her own label Anciela as a homage to her Colombian heritage. She also has worked as a Fashion Designer and Pattern Cutter for emerging designers such as Richard Malone, Sadie Williams and Artschool.
